What we can do is update your password, but
we need written verification (FAX or email)
from your site administrator indicating the
new password. If you are your website's administrator
and you need your password we can send that
to the email address we have on file for you.
For this reason it is important to let us know
if you will be changing any contact information.

Why can't I
send/receive email?
There are many possible reasons why email messages
are not getting through. The first thing you
should do is ensure that you email client is
configured correctly.
The next thing to do is check if you can still
receive email from your Web
Mail account. If you are able to see your
email there than it means that your account
is sending/receiving mail, but its not getting
to your email client and you should check your
email client documentation for a solution.
If you're email is not showing up online, please
contact us. To
better help us isolate the problem please be
ready to explain at what time and to/from whom
your email is not going.

How
do I manually add user accounts?

How
is mail routed on your servers?
- Incoming email from the internet
goes to the primary MX server, Mailfilter
- If the primary server is down, email travels
to the secondary MX server, Backupmail
- Mailfilter drops viruses and tags unwanted
spam before passing the cleaned email to email.dynamic.net
- Mail routed to Backupmail will be
sent to Mailfilter unless Mailfilter
is not responding; at which point it will
pass the email to the email.dynamic.net
server.
- You check your IMAP mailboxes on email.dynamic.net
- You can use smtp.dynamic.net as your
outgoing SMTP server to send emails, but it
is preferred that you use the SMTP server
provided by your Internet Service Provider.
- If you are on the road, you can send/receive
email through the web interface on email.dynamic.net.

What's
the difference between POP3 and IMAP?
These two email protocols
can both be used to receive messages from a
server. The main difference is that with POP3,
mail is downloaded to your computer and erased
from the server. IMAP on the other hand is more
flexible and allows you to store messages on
the server even after you've read them. This
is ideal for people who move from computer to
computer and want to be able to read their email
without it being scattered amongst the different
computers they use.
IMAP can also access
and manage multiple mailboxes. This includes
the ability to name and access different incoming
and archive message folders, but also the ability
to list, create, delete, and rename them. These
mailboxes can be on the same server or on different
servers. An IMAP client may allow you to see
them at the same time, and move messages from
one to the other. This is especially helpful
for groups that need to see all emails coming
to them like sales@yourdomain.com.
IMAP has constructs
to permit online performance optimization, especially
over low-speed links. These include the ability
to fetch the structure of a message without
downloading it, to selectively fetch individual
message parts, and the ability to use the server
for searching in order to minimize data transfer
between client and server. Especially when connecting
to a mail server via low-bandwidth lines, it
is useful to be able to defer transferring messages
or parts of messages that are not of immediate
interest until a more propitious time.
For Enterprise customers
we offer unlimited email storage making IMAP
the clear choice. For our Value and Business
Customers it is possible to use IMAP; however
we impose limits on the amount of storage space
available. If users reach this limit they will
not receive any more emails. Since POP3 removes
the messages from the server when users view
them this is the preferred protocol for our
Value and Business Customers.
