New Releases Available Now

Dynamic Concepts Inc. is pleased to announce Release 5.5 of the UniBasic development system and runtime language, containing many enhancements and improvements made in response to user needs.

Improvements Implemented

The DCI engineering staff has enhanced UniBasic in response to user input, fixing problems where:

• large statements were encoded incorrectly
• programs with more than 318 variables were encoded incorrectly
• false "ELSE With IF" errors occurred

In addition, the engineering staff has corrected:

• an INPUT statement in IRIS mode for invalid input
• repainting of graphic characters in windows

The PREALLOCATE option value 8 has been corrected so that a Read past the end of a formatted file will return Error 52 (Record not written) rather than Error 51 (Illegal record number) in IRIS mode.
Finally, a situation where occasional aborts occurred on SCO MPX systems has been eliminated.
