Alpha Test
DCI is pleased to announce to all developers the immediate release of the alpha test version of dL4 for Windows NT and 95. You may obtain the software, free of charge, from our website or ftpsite. Also, be sure to obtain the most recent dL4 Samples & Utilities. We will be publishing additional information on our website over the next several weeks. Please check often, if you are interested in obtaining the latest breaking news on the dL4 for Windows product.

Functionality
Designed to run existing dL4 applications in a Windows environment, this product supports all of the functionality of our dL4 Unix products as well as:

• Microsoft SQL-Server Relational Database Files
• Control for text and background colors in a window
• Configurable display font
• Mouse input editing support and Windows editing keys
• Multiple sessions on a single PC
• Cut and paste between applications and screens
• Move and size root window
• Background "phantom" jobs may be opened
• Open programs and files across networks

Packaging and Security
The final version will include installation and setup programs. To complete this product, we are developing single-user and network licensing methods.

Beta Test
We expect to deliver a full beta version in December.

IQ For Windows
As part of our ongoing Windows strategy, a graphical, ODBC-compliant IQ-for-Windows product is in development for concurrent release. Watch for important release information in November.
