6.1.2 Maintenance Release
UniBasic SDK Available Online
The UniBasic Software Development Kit (USDK) is now available, for all currently supported platforms, directly from our public ftp area: http://www.dynamic.com/dist/pub. The USDK is used to add custom CALL's, written in 'C', to the UniBasic language. You do not need this product to develop, modify and support BASIC programs written in UniBasic.
Included with the package is the source code to a number of CALLS. These examples may be used to create your own custom system-level extensions to UniBasic. A new product directory, iris-dev, contains any released USDK's for the specific platform directory you select. For example, http://www.dynamic.com/dist/pub/99/iris-dev selects the directory for SCO Unix (platform 99). If the iris-dev directory does not exist, no USDK has been released for that platform.
Licensing Requirements to use the USDK
To use the USDK, you must have a UniBasic Runtime License and pay a fee to obtain a UniBasic Development License. Authorized Resellers may obtain a UniBasic Development License, at no charge, for each platform on which they have subscribed to Premier Support. Otherwise, the retail price for the UniBasic Development License is $2,300, per platform. Contact sales@dynamic.com for more information.
UniBasic 6.1.2 Maintenance Release for Motorola SVR4
A maintenance release of UniBasic version 6.1.2 is now available for Motorola SVR4 (platform C3).
As a maintenance release, UniBasic version 6.1.2 does not offer any new features. Instead, this version fixes a specific problem on Motorola SVR4 with UniBasic Dynamic Windows. This problem surfaced on this platform, only in version 6.1.1, as a result of a compiler error. Specifically, the fix in this version corrects the painting of line graphics bordering Dynamic Windows.
Other customers using UniBasic version 6.1.1 on Motorola SVR4 have reported no other problems. Therefore, while advisable, it is not mandatory that you update all such UniBasic version 6.1.1 sites to version 6.1.2.
Anyone with a UniBasic 6 license for Motorola SVR4 may obtain this update at no charge.
