PROMOTIONAL PRICING EXTENDED THROUGH 2006

Dynamic is extending a promotion for UniBasic and dL4 upgrades to the SCO community through the end of 2006. Add Software Assurance for 10% and upgrade any version of UniBasic or dL4 to the latest release for 25% of the price of a new license*. Once covered by Software Assurance, you may take advantage of all of the features and benefits of the program, including ODBC, and upgrade from Open Server 5 to 6 - all at no additional charge.

*One year of Software Assurance is included and you must agree to renew Software Assurance for at least 3 additional years.

PASSPORT HARDWARE DEVICES NO LONGER NEEDED FOR SCO PLATFORMS

Hardware passport devices no longer provide any advantage for SCO Open Server 5 and SCO Open Server 6 / Unixware systems and will no longer be available, once the existing inventory is depleted.

Effective with Passport release 4.2, both SCO platforms (99 and 55) include a new software licensing method, which is based on the SCO license number and the Ethernet (NIC card) addresses. A system with this new type of software license can be reinstalled from scratch, or restored from a backup - just as if the system included a passport device.

By default, new installations will utilize the new software licensing method, whenever possible. Existing passport devices and software licenses will not be affected by the installation of the new release and such licenses and SSN's will still work as before.
