Because we have reached the 16-year calendar quarter limit in our passport software, demo SSNs with an expiration date of July 1 or October 1, 2007 will not work, with other than the latest version of our software, between April 1 and June 30, 2007. The calendar resets on July 1, 2007 at which time this notice will be rescinded.

If you have customers or in-house systems running older versions with a demo license, they will either stop running when the current demo runs out April 1 or immediately upon the installation of a demo ssn with an expiration in July or October 2007.

You must either upgrade the software prior to April 1 and obtain a new demo SSN, or contact Dynamic to obtain a permanent SSN for each system. Also, you will be unable to provide temporary or replacement SSN's (for systems with older software) until July 1, 2007, when the calendar rollover resets. Dynamic will waive any requirement to purchase an upgrade for any demonstration SSN which is serving as a replacement license.

Our demo SSN system has been restricting newly issued demo SSNs (since January 2007) to an April 1, 2007 expiration date. That restriction has now been removed and new releases of our software are available. For Unix or Linux systems, this means installing:

Passport 4.3.2 or later

UniBasic 8.1.5 or later

dL4 6.2.8 or later

ODBCdL4 Server 1.3.1 or later

These releases are available for all common platforms (Linux, SCO OpenServer 5, SCO OpenServer 6/Unixware, AIX, HPUX, and Solaris).

For dynamicXport, the copy of run in the application server home directory should be replaced with a copy of run from dL4 6.2.8 or later. A new release of dynamicXport that includes the current release of dL4 run will be available soon.

Updated IQ for Unix releases are not yet available.

For Windows systems, it is only necessary to update the version of Passport for Windows to 2.8.1 or later. Passport 2.8.1 is available as a separate download and included in dL4 for Windows 6.2.9 or later.
