1999: dL4 Term Beta Release
Designed to allow dL4 applications running
on Unix systems to use the same GUI features
as dL4 version 4 for Windows, dL4Term also supports
UniBasic and other Unix applications. In fact,
even character-based UniBasic and dL4 installations
may install dL4Term as a low-cost, replacement
terminal emulator.
July 1999: UniBasic SDK Available Online Plus
6.1.2 Maintenance Release.
The UniBasic Software Development Kit (USDK)
is now available, for all currently supported
platforms. The USDK is used to add custom CALL's
written in "C" to the UniBasic language.
Also A maintenance release of UniBasic version
6.1.2 is now available for Motorola SVR4 (platform
C3).

driver which makes it possible to output to

1997: UniBasic Erroneous Printer Lock Errors
We have discovered an incompatibility between
SCO UNIX versions 3.2 and SCO OpenServer Release
5 (3,2v5) which may cause UniBasic to incorrectly
report a "File isin use and locked"
error while attempting to open a printer after
its use.

Unit Search Table (LUST) like UniBasic. This

SPARC
The DCI Support Team has learned that users
of UniBasic Revisions 5.3.2 and 5.4 on Solaris
SPARC cannot build INDEX files if the user's
UID is greater than 65535.

Passport Security is a separate product,

The Santa Cruz Operation (SCO) will formally
obselete all versions of Xenix except for 2.3.4
as of October 1, 1995.

1, 1995: Altos/SCO Platform Unification
Altos now ships a standard SCO product with
its systems. DCI has unified Platform15 (Altos)
and Platform 99 (SCO Unix).

1, 1995: AIX 4.1 IBM RS/6000 and PowerPC
Version 4.1 of AIX was released for IBM's
current line of Power Systems. AIX 4.1 is also
available for PowerPC systems offered by IBM
and others including Motorola.
